Due to the composition of various accessories, air compressors commonly include air filters, oil filters, oil separators, lubricating oil, belts, solenoid valves, etc; Air compressor maintenance is divided into two types: major and minor repairs. In general, major repairs to air compressors usually result in serious problems, and minor repairs are easy to understand as minor fault repairs. Below are some common causes and solutions for small faults in air compressors.

1. Poor environmental ventilation and heat dissipation. There are three main effects of the environment around the air compressor on heat dissipation: first, being too close to wall obstacles; Secondly, there are other heat sources near the air compressor. Thirdly, when running, the front and side doors are open, and the fan cannot form strong airflow.

2. The radiator is blocked. When there is a large amount of dust in the surrounding environment of the air compressor, the outside of the radiator will adhere to a layer of dust or oil sludge, and the internal copper pipes are also prone to blockage due to the accumulation of oil scale, affecting the heat dissipation effect.

3. The oil filter is too dirty. This machine has three parallel oil filters. When it is too dirty, the resistance oil cannot enter the compressor at the normal flow rate, and due to insufficient cooling oil, the temperature of the air compressor will rise. When the difference in inlet and outlet oil pressure exceeds 0. The 18MPa filter element needs to be replaced at any time.

4. The cooling oil level is too low. When checking the refrigerator, the oil level should be immediately replenished below the lower end of the inspection tube.

5. Low oil grade or poor oil quality. Using manufacturer’s air compressor oil. When using other low-grade or inferior oils, the viscosity and specific heat do not meet the standards, resulting in excessively high temperatures.

6. Fan tape is broken or loose. When the tape breaks, the air compressor runs for 5 minutes and automatically stops on both sides due to high temperature. If the tape is too loose, it will slip, reduce the fan speed, and affect heat dissipation. At this point, the tightness of the fan tape should be replaced or adjusted.

7. Fuel cut-off valve malfunction. There is an oil cut-off valve between the oil filter and the compressor. When the oil cut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature of the compressor rapidly increases after starting due to lack of oil lubrication and cooling, and both sides will automatically stop after about 1 minute. Remove the temperature plug at the main exhaust end of the compressor, and it is found that the plug is dry and oil-free. Green smoke will drift out of the hole.

Open the maintenance hole at the bottom of the air compressor, remove the oil cut-off valve, and gently move the valve stem with your fingers to see if it can be pushed back and forth, and if it can be easily reset. If it is difficult to dial or return, further disassembly of the cut-off valve is required. If there is oil stains on the valve stem or valve hole of the air compressor, polish it with fine sandpaper until it is easy to slide; If the spring breaks or foreign objects get stuck, it can also affect the movement of the valve stem. At this time, it is necessary to replace the spring or clean the spring seat.
