1. Pressure switch failure
The working principle of an air compressor is to compress air into a storage tank for storage. After reaching the preset pressure, the pressure switch pops open, or the pressure sensor and relay signal cause the relay to pop open, thus cutting off power to the line and stopping the compressor. .
If the compressor does not stop after reaching the preset pressure, it may be that the pressure switch does not pop open, or the corresponding pressure is not sensed, or the pressure switch is faulty. If there is no standard instrument calibration, it is recommended to replace it directly. If there is Standard instrument, we can disassemble it and use the standard to cause calibration to see if the corresponding pressure can be achieved.
2. Relay failure
Relay failure is checked when the pressure switch is intact. If the pressure switch or pressure sensor gives a signal to the relay, but the relay does not lose power, then there is a problem with the relay. Compressors generally use AC contactors, and some use relays in microcontrollers. It is relatively easy for us to repair this. We only need to find the corresponding circuit according to the instructions and use a multimeter to measure whether it operates.
3. Pipe leaks
Because when we turn on the air compressor in the early stage, we need to wait for the air compressor to reach the pressure and shut down before using it. If the air compressor has not been shut down, there may be a pipe leak in the part connected to the storage tank, causing the storage tank to continue to Gas cannot be stored, so the rated pressure cannot be reached and the machine cannot be shut down. Another situation is that the gas usage is large, that is, our load uses too much gas, and the pressure stored in the air compressor is not enough for us to use, so at this time, the pressure storage tank of the air compressor is not full of air, otherwise you It will keep working without any downtime.
4. Insufficient gas production
There are two reasons for the insufficient gas production during shutdown. The first part is that the air compressor itself malfunctions and the compression capacity becomes weaker. The pressure that could be achieved in half an hour in the past now takes an hour or even two hours, indicating that there is a problem with the compression cylinder. This needs to be disassembled and inspected. The second reason is that the usage mentioned above is relatively large, that is, the selection is wrong. If this is the reason, we need to update the equipment and purchase an air compressor with large capacity and strong gas production capacity to avoid emptying.
